Events and Activities : Kids Triathlon set for July 26

On the morning of Saturday, July 26th, VPRD will be hosting its 5th annual 'Kids Triathlon.' The race is divided out by age divisions and gender. The 7-8 year olds will do a 50 meter swim, 1.2 mile bike ride, and a 0.6 mile run. 9-10 year olds will complete a 100 meter swim, 1.8 mile bike ride and a 1.2 mile run. 11-12, and 13-14 year old divisions will complete a 200 meter swim, a 3.6 mile bike ride, and a 1.2 mile run. The cost of this race is $10 and participants must register for the race by July 24 to avoid incurring a late penalty. The race will get underway at 8 AM and will take place in the area surrounding the Vinton Recreation Center.
