Sixty-one excited actresses and actors have been spending time from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily learning songs, dances, and lines as a part of the production of “Merlin’s Apprentice and the Deadly Dragon” during the annual ACT 1 sponsored theatre camp. Three young people from the Old Creamery Theatre Company have been teaching these students all week. They set up the stage props on Thursday and on Friday morning, the costumes will be revealed. Excitement has been building as the campers envision how they will look in their frog, princess, jester, and other costumes tomorrow. These young theatre enthusiasts would enjoy having you attend one of their performances as they share the results of their hard work and show what they can do on stage. PERFORMANCES ARE AT TILFORD ELEMENTARY ON FRIDAY EVENING, JULY 18TH, AT 7 AND SATURDAY AFTERNOON, JULY 19TH, AT 2. TICKETS ARE $5.00 AND WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR. The OCTC is sponsoring 15 Theatre Camps this summer, with two teams of three actors/singers leading sessions in communities throughout Iowa. See more photos HERE.
