Tuesday, March 18th marks the date of the “Cruisin’ Through the Decades”, Middle School Vocal Concert. This program will be presented by the Vinton-Shellsburg 7th and 8th Grade Choirs and Show Choir. The performance will begin at 7:00 at the high school auditorium.
Songs from the 1950’s through 2014 will be highlighted. Flash back with memories from your favorite decade as the Choirs, Show Choir and small ensembles present an entertaining variety of chart topping songs. Selections will include: “Get the Party Started”, “Funky Town”, “Kokomo”, “Yellow Submarine”, “Hey, Good Lookin”, “Eye of the Tiger”, “Man in the Mirror”, “Welcome to the Sixties”, “Brave” and “Home”.
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. There is no admission charge to this event, but donations are always welcome. The concert will be directed by Lois Martin and Michala Martin and accompanied by April Ahrenholz with choreography by Joan Cooling Noeller and staging assistance by Jane Martin.
