Events and Activities : Benton Scholarship Foundation sets Soup for Scholars for Dec. 17

The Benton Scholarship Foundation (BSF) is hosting their annual fundraiser Soup for Scholars on Tuesday, December 17 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Benton Community Middle/High School, Van Horne. The Benton Girls Basketball team will also be hosting Center Point/Urbana that evening.

The Soup for Scholars is a free-will donation event. Chili, chicken noodle soup, ham salad sandwiches, a dessert and beverage will be served.

All funds generated will be used to support the foundation. BSF, a Dollars for Scholars Chapter, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide higher education for Benton Community graduates through the generous donations from business, patrons and friends of Benton Community in the form of scholarships. In May of 2013, BSF awarded 59 scholarships ($32,400) to 47 BCHS seniors.
