November 21st - Vinton's Lighted Parade

This is our annual tree lighting and visit from Santa. The winners of the VPRD coloring contest will be riding with Santa on the firetruck during the Lighted Parade hosted by our local Veteran organizations. It is a great opportunity to get your name in lights and promote your business or organization in a fun way during the Christmas season. If you're interested in taking part, just put your float together and show up at the Methodist Church at 5:30 to get lined up. There is no cost or registration, so just show up and get in line! The fun will continue when we arrive at the Courthouse for the opportunity to sit on Santa's lap. Don't forget to get to the Fire Station early to join the Lion's Club for a Chili Supper! All proceeds will go to support the Honor Flight!

November 24th - Vinton's Christmas Open House

Join our Vinton merchants as we kick-off the Christmas shopping season! Several of our local businesses will be opening their doors early this year by opening as early as 11am so you can get great deals before going home following church. We will have Llama's on 4th Street in front of the US Bank building. Several stores will have special promotions and everyone will have great deals to help you get a head start on your Christmas shopping. Be sure to Shop Vinton on the 24th to get your Pre-Black Friday Deals. Live music and great fun will ensue!

Through Christmas - Many Stores Open Sunday's

Beginning with the Christmas Open House on November 24th, many stores will be open from Noon until 4pm every Sunday through Christmas. This gives you extra time to Shop Local and find your great deals right here in Vinton. Our local merchants are making an extra effort to make sure you can shop local this Christmas season! As always, many stores are open until 8pm on Thursday nights. With our schedules getting busier each day and gas prices near $3/gallon, be sure to grab your gifts down the street rather than driving over 60 miles round-trip to go to the Big Box stores.

Black Friday - Get Great Deals in Vinton!
