FOOD AND HOW TO FROM
CP FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9
This is cooking weather and Center Point Friends of the Library has cooked up an event to inspire you. “A Taste in Time” cookbook sale and tasting party will be from 9 to 1 on Saturday, November 9, at the Library.
Friends members reviewed ingredients after the Library addition fund raising committee meeting October 24. (The community is stirring with plans for a Library addition and community center –call the Library to see how you can get your contribution in the pot.) Friends regular meeting is Thursday, Nov. 7, at 6:30 in the Library.
Besides bountiful donated cookbooks and sweet and savory tidbits to taste, “A Taste in Time” will include an information display about the building project. There will be vintage salt/peppers for sale, and an apron display.
Cooking classes for kids will be at 10, 11 and noon. In keeping with the bumper crop of apples this year the kids will be learning to make “Crispy Apple Slices.” Classes will be taught by local gourmet cook and former restauranteur Dorothea Wood. Dorothea’s husband Paul is co-chair, with Kathy Rogers, of the Library addition fund raising drive.
Admission is $5. Wear an apron and get in for $4.
