Trinity Lutheran to host Lasagna Fundraiser

Trinity Lutheran Church will hold a lasagna supper on Wednesday, March 24 beginning at 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. The church is located at 1002 East 13th St. in Vinton. Along with lasagna, the meal will also include salads and dessert for a freewill donation.  You can pre-order to-go boxes at 472-5571 before 4:30 p.

Clingman Farewell

On Sunday, April 11th, from 1-4:00 p.m., Jon and Julie Clingman will be the guests of honor at an open house held at Total Balance. 217 W. 4th St. You are welcome to come and wish Jon and Julie your best, and enjoy a snack and drink. The couple will be moving to Dubuque to start a new chapter in their lives.

Garrison Lions Club to hold a Grab & Go Supper, Saturday, March 20

A Grab and Go supper will be available with the Garrison Lions Club on Saturday, March 20th, from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Garrison Fire Station.For a freewill donation, the meal includes beef and noodles, a roll, green beans, and fruit. Rather than the silent auction this year there will be homemade dessert available for an extra donation!Donations will go toward supporting local scholarships, community events and organizations.

Annual Fire Department Fish Fry Friday, March 19

Friday, March 19, the Vinton Fire Department will hold its annual fish fry fundraiser Beginning at 4:00 p.m. and serving until 7:00 p.m. simply drive to the fire department, drop off your freewill donations, and grab supper. (There will not be dining at the station this year.)Our annual fish fry fundraiser serving our hand-breaded fried fish, coleslaw, baked beans, dinner roll and a great choice of desserts with the additional comfort of getting all this delicious food with a simple drive down to the Fire Station!

Benton County Fair Scheduled for June 22

The 2021 Benton County Fair will be held June 22-27. Events are scheduled from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. each day, Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday the 27th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The livestock aspect of the fair will begin as early as this month.
