Maundy Thursday Services to be held Tonight

5th Quarter A New Event for High Schoolers

5th Quarter will kick off its opening night on May 3rd at the Revolution Building located at 417 1st Ave. in downtown Vinton.On Opening night of 5th Quarter, there will be Karaoke, hot dogs and a popcorn bar, Every Friday night from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. any current high school student is welcome to attend.

Remembering the Orphans

The Benton County Historical Society will host Lori Vicker from 10:30 a.m..-12:00 p.m.at the Ray House.Vicker will summarize the historical era known as the Orphan Train Movement that took place in the US dating from 1854-1929. More than 200,000 orphan children from urban cities in the East were sent on trains westward.

The Vinton Fire Department to hold Spring Fish Fry tonight

The Vinton Fire Department will host a Spring Fish Fry Fundraiser at the Fire Station.The event will be held on Friday, April 5, from 4-8:00 p.m.The department will be serving fried fish, french fries, coleslaw, potato salad and a great selection of desserts. The cost is $8 per person, ages 5 and under eat free.

Youth Wilderness Trip - Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness
