Pink Heals of Easter Iowa to hold Volunteer Social Event

Click to View BrochureBecome a PINK HEALS OF EASTERN IOWA VOLUNTEER!There will be a social event on March 30, from 1-3:00 p.m. at the Fire Station in Vinton. Volunteers are needed for various activities. JOIN US TO FIND OUT MORE INFORMATION. For those interested but cannot attend, areas of assistance where you might fit include: Delivering flowers to those fighting illness, persons with a CDL that could drive the fire truck, help in fundraising events, participants for parades and various events.

Trivia Fundraiser for Vinton Shellsburg 10U Youth Baseball

There will be a Trivia NIght at the American Legion in Vinton on Friday, April 5th to support local 10U Youth Baseball. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per person, play in groups up to 8 people. 10 rounds of fun. There will be free snacks and a cash bar. Contact Scott (608) 692-8909 to RSVPWalk-ins accepted.

FFA Labor Auction Scheduled for April 4

The Vinton-Shellsburg FFA will be holding our annual Labor Auction on Thursday, April 4th, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the high school gymnasium. We will have approximately thirty to forty members selling this year as “laborers.” These members will work an eight-hour day this spring, summer, or fall. The member(s) you would purchase can be used for many types of jobs around your home, business, or farm.

Stop the Bleeding - Class held by North Benton Ambulance

The Benton Ambulance Service will be offering a Stop the Bleed Class at the North Benton Ambulance from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The event will be held on April 14 at the garage. This is a 2 hour class on how to best manage massive bleeding due to illness or injury. The training has been developed by the National College of Surgeons.
