Thursday Night is Farmers Market Night

Come out to Celebration Park on Thursday night from 5-7:00 p.m. The Lions Club will have dinner and snacks, the Community Band will be performing and of course there will be an amazing selection of fresh produce and baked goods from area vendors. It's Patriotic Day so wear your red, white and blue and show your patriotism!

St. Andrew's Lutheran Church VBS - The Tree of Life, God’s Promise of Salvation

St. Andrew Lutheran Church of Van Horne, will be holding Vacation Bible School with this year's theme entitled "The Tree of Life, God’s Promise of Salvation." It will be held at St. John, 201 Fourth Avenue in Keystone on Sunday, July 24th through Thursday, July 28th, from 6:00 to 8:15 p.m. each day. There will be great Bible stories, fun crafts, awesome music, and make-it-yourself snacks that go along with the Bible stories.

CP Friends Of the Library to hold Appreciation Lunch For Patrons July 12

Friends of the Center Point Library will hold a free lunch Tuesday, July 12, for its patrons of all ages. All four communities served by the Andersen Center Point Library (Alburnett, Urbana, Walker, and Center Point) are welcome. The lunch will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the Library community room and will follow the Summer Reading Program’s popular Papa Balloon event.

Summer is here and Keep Iowa Beautiful is announcing the 13th Annual Keep Iowa Beautiful Photography Contest. Iowans have the next six months to grab their cameras, or phones, and enter one or all of the five categories. "This is a great way for Iowans to share what they like about Iowa," said Kevin Techau, Keep Iowa Beautiful Executive Director.
