Vinton Lutheran Home Auxiliary Spring Salad Luncheon - Today
Don't forget... the Vinton Lutheran Home Auxiliary Spring Salad Luncheon is taking place today, Friday April 8th, at the US Bank Community Room from 11:00am-1:00pm. Please join them for homemade casseroles, salads and pies. A bake sale has been open since 9:00am featuring delicious homemade baked goods. All proceeds raised will go towards the Lutheran Home Nursing Facility renovation project. PEO Chapter HG meeting Monday

Blood drive set for Tuesday at VSHS; donors needed
Vinton-Shellsburg High School is sponsoring a blood drive this Tuesday, April 12, from 2:30-6:30. Local students will earn scholarships as a result of this. Appointments can be made by calling Kristie Davis at 472-4292. Walk-ins are welcome, too.

Spring Vendor Show in Garrison this weekend
There will be a Spring Vendor Show, Saturday April 9th at the Garrison Fire Station from 10am -2pm.
There will be many vendors attending, such as.. Tupperware, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple and many more.

Iowa State Fair Grandstand Tickets On Sale April 30
Tickets for the much-anticipated 2011 Iowa State Fair Grandstand shows go on sale at 10 a.m. on April 30 through all Ticketmaster outlets. The 2011 line-up is presented by U.S. Cellular.
Grammy Award winners from many genres lead the star-studded line-up. Country music legend REBA has garnered two Grammy's in her long career.

The Benton County Early Childhood Iowa Child Development Fair will be held Wednesday, April 13th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Vinton Skate and Recreation Center.
