Cornerstone Baptist Church to host Thanksgiving dinner Sunday, Nov. 20th
The Cornerstone Baptist Church will be hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday November 20th. This dinner is free of charge and open to all who wish to attend. The dinner will follow the morning service which begins at 11:00 AM. There will be a special speaker and special music to celebrate God's goodness to us and to our nation.
Center Point Library hold 'Gift in a Jar' workshop
Nov. 12—Deadline for registering for Friends of Library holiday craft workshop “Gift in a Jar.” Workshop is Sat. Nov. 19 from 10 to noon in the Library basement. $10 registration fee for making two quart jars—dry cookie mix and dry soup mix—all ingredients, jars and decorations included. Mail registration with fee and phone number to Friends at Box 54, Center Point 52213 or drop in Friends box on Library counter.

It is hard to believe that not only are we gearing up for Thanksgiving events and programs but we are talking about programs that start in December. I hate to say it but I think the year 2011 is slipping away. I personally am not ready for winter but the one thing I have learned over the years is that I can’t control the weather.
