Breast Cancer Survivors to meet Sept. 2

Vikette soccer team offers soccer clinic for K-8 boys and girls

V-S Vikette varsit soccer coach Dave Cornell and his players are offering a Soccer Clinic for all girls and boys entering grades K - 8 on Saturday, August 30, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m., at Tilford Elementary Field. Center Point Historical Society to host Vinton Community Band on September 7

The Center Point Historical Society annual free band concert will feature Forties tunes in keeping with the Museum’s World War II theme this year. The concert is performed by the Vinton Community Band under the direction of Judy Trygstad. It will be at 6 p.m. at the Center Point Historical Society Depot Museum on Sunday, Sept. 7. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.

VPRD offers Adult Flag Football, Labor Day Disc Golf Tourney

For those adults out there looking to get outdoors, enjoy the fall weather along with some physical activity, VPRD might just have what you need!   Adult Flag Football League This pass-only flag football league will play Tuesday nights at Lion’s Field in September and October. Games will be 5 vs 5 with a maximum of 12 players on a roster.

Dax Marter, the son of Eric and Lisa, is recovering from open heart surgery.
