This April’s weather had the Center Point Friends of the Library crossing their mittened fingers but the April 16 garden event at the Library was spared a winter weather event.
Twenty-one people harvested garden ideas from Master Gardener Lori Bailey who gave a program on “Everything Whimsical.”
Garden door prizes were won by: Dorie Walker, Eileen Serbousek, Esther Getty, Darlene Squires, Brenda Wyse and Teresa Scheeler.
Friends president Rozena McVey cultivated Friends membership growth with a talk about past and future Friends activities. A Friends Garden Walk will be Saturday, June 23. The annual Used Book Sale will be Friday June 8 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday June 9 from 9 to 3, during the Center Point Lions Pork Days.
Friends meets the first Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Library. Guests are embarrassingly welcome.
