This weekend’s slow-burn mystery/thriller read was 'The Secret Lives of Murderers’ Wives' by Elizabeth Arnott (3.59 rating on Goodreads). I like to switch up my reading each week, and this 1960s story about women taking matters into their own hands was a fun change of pace.
Three women—Beverley, Elsie, and Margot—become unlikely friends after their husbands are exposed as serial killers in 1960s California. Each struggles to rebuild her life under public suspicion and personal guilt. When new murders occur, they decide to use their unique insight into killers to help catch the culprit, forming a bond that empowers them to reclaim their lives.
Check it out at the library & happy reading, friends!
