I recently read 'I Feel Bad About My Neck and Other Thoughts on Being a Woman' by Nora Ephron, and I was immediately drawn in by the title—mostly because, truthfully, my neck was the first part of my body to show its age once I hit my 40s! That bit of humor, paired with my admiration for Ephron’s work, made this a must-read.

Ephron’s distinctive voice shines through in this collection of essays. Her writing is sharp, fast-paced, and often delightfully snarky. She navigates topics such as menopause, death, and how reading is sometimes the only saving grace when dealing with aging--all with her trademark wit and honesty. While her style may not be for everyone, fans of Ephron’s candid humor and observational brilliance will feel right at home.

At just under 150 pages and with a 3.74 rating on Goodreads, this short nonfiction collection is the perfect weekend read—thought-provoking, relatable, and sure to make you laugh.

Check it out from the library today, and enjoy a few hours in the company of one of the most iconic voices in modern humor writing.

Happy reading, friends. ~Heather
