'Our Last Resort' by Clémence Michallon is the second suspenseful thriller I've read by this talented French author-and I'm hooked on her writing style!

Frida and Gabriel, now adults, escaped the cult they were raised in. Though they aren't related by blood, they consider each other siblings, bound by shared trauma and uncertainty over their true origins. As they try to adjust to life "on the outside," death seems to follow them-even on vacation at a remote, exclusive resort in Utah.

The narrative shifts between past and present, slowly revealing the depth of their damage fifteen years after their escape. And just when you think you've figured it out, a delightful twist ending turns everything upside down.

Suspenseful & haunting-this one's worth picking up. Happy reading, friends! ~Heather
