Et cetera : Meet the Artist: Frank W Ditri

Frank W Ditri will display some of his ceramic art during the June 21 Art Festival in Vinton.

One of the artists preparing for the June 21 Arts Festival in Vinton is Frank W Ditri.

Frank is a ceramic artist living in Cedar Rapids. He received his BFA in ceramic arts from the University of Iowa in 2009. Frank has attended two artist residencies. The first, at the Ceramics Center in his hometown of Cedar Rapids. The second, at the Cub Creek Foundation located in rural Appomattox County, Virginia. Frank moved back to Iowa City in late 2011, where he continued to make pottery part time. In 2013 Frank decided to make pottery full time, and in early 2014, FDTree Ceramics LLC was formed between Frank W and his father, Frank A. Frank now produces a range of ceramic objects from his studio, located in the NewBo neighborhood of Cedar Rapids.
