Photographer Ann Jorgensen is one of the local artists preparing for the June 21 Art Festival. Ann has been taking nature and fine art photographs for twenty years. She enjoys taking pictures of Iowa's beautiful landscapes, especially today's agriculture. In the last few years she has been concentrating on bird photography in Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand and Iowa. She started photography when she lived in DC for 10 years. She was able to take classes from professional photographers as she learned the art of photography. The North Bethesda camera club was a great group of outstanding photographers and the members provided help and guidance as she improved her photography skills. She sells her picture through her company Ann Jorgensen Photography. She has donated many of her pictures to help raise funds for various charities. She continues to learn through photography workshops in such places at The Badlands and Northern Michigan. She will be attending an Adobe Lightroom workshop in June. Ann and her husband Marlyn have been lifelong farmers in Benton County. They have four grown children, Chris, Pete Tim and Jenn in addition to Cheryl, Tim's wife. Their grandchildren are Gary, Samantha and Kenneth. See more about the Art Festival HERE.
