The Vinton Aquatic Club is selling raffle tickets for a 2020 Family Pool Pass. You'll have a chance to win a summer of free swimming with a little donation to help our clib operation costs, meet fees and keep our membership fees reasonable for all current and future VAC Swimmers and Divers.1 Ticket = $112 Tickets = $10If you would like to purchase raffle tickets, contact any VAC member you know, until January 10th, 2020.

Indian Hills Community College releases 2019 Honor Roll

The meeting of the North Eden Willing Workers was called to order at 5:23 PM on November 17th. The treasurer's report was given. Our current club balance is $1.375.80. We celebrated all of the November birthdays: Jenna, Nora, jaob, Devin. We also recognized the members with a December birthday: Sammie and Brianna.

Keep Iowa Beautiful to award Scholarships to 2020 seniors

Keep Iowa Beautiful (KIB) will award three $1,000 scholarships to Iowa high school seniors in 2020 who plan to enroll in an Iowa college or university. The scholarships are in honor of three pioneers in KIB's 20-year history:Bob Byers--Educator. Through Bob's leadership, KIB's Litter-Free School Campus program was started in NW Iowa.

Red Cross Seeks nominations for 2020 Heroes of the Heartland

The American Red Cross Ė Serving Greater Iowa is looking for honorable and selfless citizens who have demonstrated heroism in their community. A hero could be a first responder, a neighbor, a teacher, a friend or even a stranger who did something above and beyond in service to others.

The Benton County Community Foundation will join in celebrating Community Foundation Week, a nationwide event, November 12-18, 2019, to recognize the increasingly important role community foundations play in fostering local collaboration and innovation to address persistent civic and economic challenges.
