Trudy Pribbenow, a resident of Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab Center, will celebrate her 100th birthday with a party at 2 p.m. Friday, March 19.

Trudy was a kindergarten teacher until she married her husband, Benny. She said she lived a "common life," raising three daughters, Darlene, Darlys and Nancy, all of whom also became teachers. After the kids were grown Benny and Trudy traveled much. Trudy is a widow now, and has been living at the Nursing & Rehab Center.

"It's a nice place, a clean place," she says. "I have nothing bad to say about it."

Trudy's family is bringing cake for the 2 p.m. celebration Friday.
