For anyone with a grade-schooler and a free Saturday, it's a pretty safe and painless bet. And a great excuse to go up to the attic later and see if you can dig out your old Atari 2600. ~NewarkStar-Ledger

'Wreck-It Ralph' combines a fresh idea with a true love for retro pop culture. It's hard not to love this movie. ~Richard Roeper

“Wreck-It Ralph” in 3D plays the Palace Friday, November 23 through Thursday, November 29 at 7 p.m.nightly, and Saturday and Monday, November 24 and 26 at 2 p.m.

Critics give this movie an 86% approval rating, and audiences a whopping 92%, on rottentomatoes.com. This fun, colorful animated adventure features many of your favorite video game characters, and Wreck-It Ralph, voiced by John C Reilly.

Wreck-It Ralph is constantly upstaged in the gaming world by Fix-It Felix, and it’s wearing him down. He’s never invited to parties, and shunned by the rest of the characters. He’s tired of this existence. Ralph wants to change games.

Rated PG for some rude humor and minor action/violence, “Wreck-It Ralph” is the perfect holiday movie for your whole family.

Thursday is the last night to see everyone’s favorite hero and heroine, Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams, in “Trouble With the Curve.” Yes, we’re open on Thanksgiving!

DECEMBER

“Wreck-It Ralph” will be it for kids until Christmas vacation with three R-rated hits on tap in Decmeber – “Argo,” “Flight,” and “Cloud Atlas.” On December 28 we open with the Christmas animated hit, “Rise of the Guardians.”

However, we hope you’ll join us for three FREEBIES this month, including “Arthur Christmas” on Saturday, December 8, “The Nativity” on Sunday, December 16, and the Palace Theatre’s number one box office seller, “Shrek 2” on Wednesday, December 26.

Here at the Palace Theatre we are thankful for our volunteers, patrons, comfy new seats, and hot, buttered popcorn. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
