The Palace bats 1000, hits a grand slam, or pitches a perfect game (choose your favorite baseball analogy here) this week with “Trouble With the Curve.”
Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, John Goodman and Justin Timberlake stack the cast of this feel good sports drama, the first movie Eastwood has headlined that he didn’t direct since “In the Line of Fire” in 1993. FYI – Dirty Harry is now 82 years old.
“Trouble With the Curve” is rated PG-13 for language, sexual references, thematic material and smoking. I haven’t seen it yet, of course, but would guess it’s OK for your upper elementary family members.
Gus (Eastwood) is a baseball scout who’s losing his edge. His good friend and boss (Goodman) appeals to Mickey (Adams), Gus’ estranged daughter, for help. Timberlake plays a retired pitcher/young scout who just might become Mickey’s love interest. Yes, ladies, you’ll enjoy this one, too.
We hope you’ll bring your out-of-town family members and guests to check out the news seats! Catch this cinematic homerun Friday, November 16 through Thursday, November 23 – we will be open on Thanksgiving night – at 7 p.m., and Monday, November 19 at 2 p.m.
DECEMBER
Sorry, kids, we’ll be catering to the adults until Christmas vacation with three R-rated hits – “Argo,” “Flight,” and “Cloud Atlas.” On December 28 we open with “Rise of the Guardians.” Series lovers, look for Bond and Twilight right away in January.
