This week will be a busy week in Vinton with RAGBRAI, the Benton County Fair and the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School’s Alumni Reunion. Amidst all this, on Saturday July 28, 2012 will be the much anticipated “A Conversation with Mary Ingalls” at 3:00 p.m. in the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School auditorium. Don’t miss it!

It is a chance to stay cool and experience a piece of history up close. Mary will have pictures of herself and her family and we will hear a fiddle rendition of “Mary’s Song” just to mention a couple of the special moments she will share with us. Refreshments will follow.

There is one change from previous information published about this event. Due to alumni using the second floor of Old Main as a residence during their stay in Vinton, it will not be possible to tour the room Mary used during her time at the school.
