Due to our schedule glitch at the beginning of the month, we’re trying something new next week!
DOUBLE FEATURE
Playing in matinees only is “Chimpanzee.” Rated G and running just 78 minutes, this Disneynature docudrama is a wonderful outing for the whole family. Educational, emotional and entertaining – we went out of our way to add this to the schedule to be sure you wouldn’t miss this lovely film.
Oscar is a young chimpanzee born into a large family of primates, eagerly learning how to live life in the jungle. Oscar's mother, Isha, teaches Oscar how to find food and avoid danger and the leader of their family, Freddy, vigilantly defends their territory from his rival Scar.
Tragedy strikes when Isha dies, but Freddy soon comes to the rescue.
The Palace staff and volunteers hope one of the matinee times below will fit your busy summer schedule.
Friday, June 22 ~ 4 pm
Sunday, June 24 ~ 2 pm and 4 pm
Monday, June 25 ~ 2pm
Tuesday, June 26 ~ 4 pm
Wednesday, June 27 ~ 2 pm
Thursday, June 28 ~ 4 pm
Please contact Marcy with your feedback regarding movie times – do you appreciate the 4 pm matinees? How would you feel about 6 pm and 8 pm showings in the future?
DARK SHADOWS
Our regular feature, “Dark Shadows,” starring Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins, will play at 7 pmevery evening.
I remember “Dark Shadows,” the cult classic soap opera popular in the 1970s, as intriguing but a bit sophisticated for my young tastes. Yes, I was only a child in the 70s!
“Twilight” fans meet the original vampire. Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Helena Bohnam Carter – this outrageous movie, directed by Tim Burton, promises offbeat gags, lots of hilarious 70s pop culture references, and a fantastic soundtrack from that same era.
Rated PG-13 for comic horror violence, sexual content, some drug use, language and smoking, and running 112 minutes, this film is not for our younger viewers.
CLOSED SAT FOR PARTY IN THE PARK
Hope to see you at the Popcorn Roadshow! We’ve got Palace popcorn and lemon shakes! And tons of FREE FUN AND GAMES for everyone at Riverside Park!
