Diehard Marvel Comics fans, and the rest of us who just love to watch super hotties fight bad guys, “The Avengers” in stunning RealD 3D storms the Palace silver screen TONIGHT!

Playing Friday, May 25 through Thursday, May 31 at 7 p.m. every night, and Monday, May 28 at 2 p.m., this long-awaited action adventure is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action and runs well over two hours at 142 minutes.

If you stayed to watch the Easter Eggs after the credits in the last several Marvel films you’ll know that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the head of SHIELD, has gathered the troops. Avengers Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr!!), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) team up to defeat Loki, the evil adopted brother of Thor.

“The Avengers” is garnering good reviews from critics and rave reviews from movie-goers. Marvel’s latest has topped the charts since national opening and is on course to break box office records – we’ll see if it breaks any at the Palace!

FYI – if “The Avengers” does well at the Palace this weekend, Disney Studios has decreed we will keep it for two weeks. Check the schedule - “Chimpanzee” may be preempted.

It’s graduation weekend in Vinton – make a date with a super hero (dibs on Iron Man!) and stay safe everyone!
