Enjoy a lighthearted hour and a half at the Palace this week! “The Three Stooges” opens Friday, May 18 and runs through Thursday, May 24 at 7 p.m., and Monday, May 21 at 2 p.m.
The film is well cast with master impersonations by Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, and Chris Diamantopoulos, who are made to look SO MUCH like the originals the poster fooled us all!
The Stooges were raised in an orphanage. For some reason, nobody wanted to adopt them, so they spent not only their childhoods there, but most of their lives. Now their beloved orphanage faces bankruptcy and Larry, Curly and Moe must save the day.
The nuns running the orphanage are also well-cast: Jane Lynch as the Mother Superior, Larry David (friend of Jerry Seinfeld, and co-creator of “Seinfeld”) as the demanding Sister Mary Mengele, and the lovely Jennifer Hudson as Sister Rosemary.
What I’ve heard about this film – if you liked the real Stooges, you love this movie. If, like me, you’ve never really watched the old shows, why not give it a try? It’s only $3! Check out the Marketplace Coupon on Vinton Today for free seat savers!
“The Three Stooges” is rated PG for slapstick action violence, and some rude and suggestive humor, including language.
SEATS AND JUNE
No word on seat installation and our June schedule is so good, we’ve decided not to interrupt it even if the company calls. First up – “Chimpanzee” stacked with “The Raven,” followed by “Battleship,” “Men in Black 3” “Dark Shadows,” and “Snow White and the Huntsmen.”
So, seats – TBA, new schedule – online and at the theatre.
