Bella’s all grown up and gracing the Palace screen this week.
The Twilight Saga continues with “Breaking Dawn, Part 1” playing the Palace Friday, December 16 through Thursday, December 22 at 7 p.m., and Monday, December 19 at 2 p.m. “Breaking Dawn” is rated PG-13 for disturbing images, violence, sexuality/partial nudity and some thematic elements, and runs 117 minutes.
After watching this film, my daughter Erin confirmed the disturbing images part of the rating, telling 11-year-old Gracie she definitely cannot watch this one!
And Roger Ebert concurs, noting “Breaking Dawn” has without doubt the most blood-curdling scene of live childbirth in a PG-13 movie.
If you’ve finished your holiday shopping we hope you’ll reward yourself at the Palace. Enjoy this latest edition of the Twilight Saga on the silver screen. If you still have shopping to do, Downtown Vinton is open late – grab your ticket, save your seat, let the Downtown merchants assist you in your final mad dash for just the right gift, and we’ll have your popcorn ready at 7 p.m!
CHAIR CLUB
We’ve recently renewed our efforts to raise money for the Palace Chair Club, with hopes of installing the new seats in the new year.
In November we placed a sample chair in the lobby for patrons to try. Please note that the new seats will be a bit wider than the sample seat, and indeed, seats in the back four rows of the main floor auditorium will be four inches wider than those! We are excited to offer a taller, more ample rocker style chair that we think will complete your movie-going experience, making the Palace your “home theatre” destination.
In addition to the new seats, we are looking at exciting balcony make‐over options we hope to unveil early next year, including plush VIP seating. We expect our VIP sample seat to arrive soon, so be sure to check it out.
Contribution forms are available in the lobby of the theatre. Thanks for remembering the Palace Chair Club fund in your year-end giving.
