Flash In A Pan is an Iowa City based quartet that has been playing across the Midwest since 2012, developing a strong following over the years. Founded by guitarist Blake T. Daly, the current line-up also consists of banjo player Alex Flesher, mandolinist Max Lipnick, and bassist Blake Shaw. They describe their sound as "string band" or "folk and grass." "I think our love of bluegrass music is kind of what brought us all together. But you know, our varied interests in all different kinds of genres kind of creep their ways into our sound," said Lipnick.
