“Soul Surfer” plays the Palace THREE NIGHTS ONLY, Friday, May 6 through Sunday, May 8 at 7 p.m.
Disney’s "Soul Surfer" is based on the true story of Bethany Hamilton, a champion surfer who in her early teens was attacked by a shark and lost her left arm. You know what they say – get back on that horse! One month later Bethany was back in the water, back on a surfboard, has since won several championship surf competitions.
AnnaSophia Robb (“Bridge to Terebithia”) plays Bethany, and in an amazing feat of computer-generated imagery, does it with just one arm. Two of my favorites, Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt play Bethany’s parents.
This movie runs 106 minutes and is rated PG for the intense accident sequence and some thematic material.
CLOSED MAY 9 THROUGH 12
