The Vinton-Shellsburg High School choirs put a standing-room audience in the holiday spirit Thursday night in the high school auditorium, under the direction of Michala Martin.

The Treble Choir began the show with I Will Be The Gladdest Thing featuring a quartet that included Haley Clark, Molly Haisman, Maya Lapan-Islas and Kaelyn Pettyjohn. This was followed by What Child Is This? which featured a sing-a-long with the audience. The Treble Choir then closed they portion of the show performing Winter Lullaby and Can You Hear Me? featuring the choir members performing sign language as they sang.
The Chamber Choir was next, performing Lullaby, Remembering Decembers and a bopping rendition of the classic Carol Of The Bells.
The final act was the Concert Choir, who opened with Joy To The World, followed by Looking For The Light highlighted by solos from Maddie Beauchamp and Davia Herger. In honor of the 501st anniversary of Silent Night, the choir performed it in the original German Stille Nacht.
For the final number, the choir raised the roof with an amazing performance of Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah.
