In 2012, the Barden Bellas a cappella group debuted their songs in the hilarious musical comedy Pitch Perfect. In 2015 they came back again, competing at an international competition and narrowly beating their rivals. Now the girls are uniting to sing one more time in Pitch Perfect 3! The movie is NOW SHOWING at the Vinton Palace, Fri, Jan 19 - Thur, Jan 25, at 7 p.m., and Mon, Jan 22 at 2 p.m. If you've seen the Pitch Perfect series, you'll know that they are fabulous combination of excellent comedic timing and great singing that bring the audience on a ridiculous adventure! Starring Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, and Rebel Wilson, Pitch Perfect 3 is no exception. The girls originally met while in an a cappella club in college. Now they have all graduated and are in the real world... working jobs that they hate. As they all admit that they would do anything to sing together one more time, an idea manifests. What if they tried to enter the upcoming USO sponsored competition? They would be able to sing together, and if they win, they would get to sing the opener for the hit musician, DJ Khaled. Simple and innocent enough, right? Wrong. Although they have the best of intentions, the Bellas are magnets for disaster and ludicrousness. Entering the competition leads to them meeting amazing music producers, but then somehow they end up in a beautiful hotel suite...that's on fire. Add in a French kidnapper, Fat Amy's missing father, and an exploding yacht, and you have a misadventure that only the Bellas could attract! But they biggest question of all is- can they actually win this competition? And if they do, what's next? Owen Gleiberman of Variety said "[...] the movie is bubbly, it's fast, it's [very] synthetic-clever, and it's an avid showcase for the personalities of its stars." Pitch Perfect 3 is rated PG-13 for crude and sexual content, language and some action.
