NOW SHOWING Fri, Jan 12 - Thur, Jan 18 at 7 pm Mon, Jan 15 at 2 pm If you never saw the 1995 film version, well, you should! But it's not necessary to understand the plot of 2017's Jumanji- Welcome to the Jungle. In 2017 four friends are serving detention at school. While cleaning the school's basement, they come across an old video game called Jumanji. They decide to have some fun and see if it works, and it does! After they each choose a player in the game, they get sucked in.... physically! The four find themselves in a jungle, and their bodies have transformed to their avatars. There is an explorer (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson), a professor (Jack Black), a zoologist (Kevin Hart) and a martial artist (Karen Gilian). The diverse quartet of teens are anything but friends in school, but now they must learn how to work as a team while discovering who they are in the game. They must do both in order to "win" the game and get back to their real lives, or be stuck in the game forever! Jumanji- Welcome to the Jungle has been especially well received for its comedy. With all of its stars being infamous for funny, movie-goers are in for a hilarious treat! Rob Keyes from the ScreenRant website says, "There's a lot of laughs and heart in Jumanji. Cast has some pretty special chemistry and the game angle totally works. Props to The Rock, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black for playing kids so well!" Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is rated PG-13 for adventure action, suggestive content and some language. It will be showed in 2-D.
