Bring your friends and thrill to the Only $3 3D in the World at the Palace Theatre this week! “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’hoole” opens Friday, October 29 through Thursday, November 4 at 7 p.m. nightly, and Saturday and Monday at 2 p.m.
Following the Saturday Spooktacular Parks and Recreation Trick or Treating downtown, kids can enjoy FREE POPCORN for the October 30th 2 p.m. showing of “Guardians.”
A beautiful cinematic experience with a “knights of the round table” storyline, “The Owls of Ga’hoole” features several different varieties of gorgeous winged creatures, including barn owls, great gray owls and screech owls. This movie is rated PG and runs 97 minutes.
I have a good friend from high school living in LA. His partner is a lawyer for RealD. One of the perks of the job is that they get to take their four-year-old twins to all the RealD movie premieres. (He also got to ring the bell at the NY Stock Exchange a few months ago when RealD went public!)
Anyway, my friend, Mike, told me that “Legend of the Guardians” is a beautiful movie, but a bit dark for preschoolers. Another reviewer I read mentioned the same thing – the violence is too scary for our youngest patrons.
If you’re up for a Halloween adventure, in RealD 3D – “Guardians” is the movie for you.
