The recluse comes out of the woods this week when “Get Low” plays the Palace from Friday, October 22 through Thursday, October 28 at 7 p.m. nightly. The self-proclaimed tall tale will also show in our regular Monday Matinee at 2 p.m.

Robert Duvall is Felix Bush, a hermit with a story to tell. He hires Bill Murray’s funeral parlor to “put on” his funeral party. Acquaintances who haven’t seen Felix for years are invited to speak their piece, as will the un-deceased.

Sissy Spacek and Lucas Black round out the talented cast. “Get Low” is rated PG-13 for mature thematic material and violent content. It runs 102 minutes.

NOVEMBER SCHEDULE

Lots of great movies at the Palace next month, starting with “You Again,” “The Town,” “The Social Network,” and “Life As We Know It.” We open the holiday blockbuster season with Disney’s “Secretariat” over Thanksgiving weekend. Pick up a schedule at the theatre or online at www.vintonpalace.org.
