Entertainment : Home school performers preparing for weekend peformances of 'Avalanche'

The cast of 'Avalanche' on the stage at Tilford, where they will perform Friday and Sunday.

"Avalance," the story of spies on a train in the early years of the Cold War, takes to the stage as the members of the Vinton-Shelllsburg Home School Assistance Program perform their annual play this weekend.

Performance times are 7 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Tilford Auditorium. Admission is $1.

In the play, spies from the U.S. and U.S.S.R. find themselves on a train in a fictional European country, looking for a mysterious passenger.
