Final rehearsals are in motion for “Iconic,” the upcoming Vinton-Shellsburg 7th and 8th Grade Choir and Show Choir Performance. The Middle School Jazz Band will also be performing. The Tuesday, March 17, event will begin with a jazz band performance at 6:30 p.m. followed by the choir performances beginning at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The show choir rehearsed on Saturday (see photos). Songs they will sing and dance include “Bandstand Boogie,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “At the Hop” and “It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing.” The dance numbers are choreographed by Joan Cooling Noeller.

The auditorium opens for seating at 6 p.m. Help us fill the auditorium for a memorable evening enjoying the talents for our middle school musicians! This entertainment is sure to be enjoyed by friends, family and patrons of all ages.

Directors Lois Martin, Jodi Bierschenk and Michala Martin along with veteran accompanist April Ahrenholz are proud of the students’ achievements.
