Rob Marshall, director of the silver screen megahit, “Chicago,” brings us another Broadway musical classic, “Into the Woods.”

This Stephen Sondheim rather dark adaptation of Grimm’s fairytales will delight Palace patrons, young and old, Friday, February 20 through Thursday, February 6 at 7 pm, and Monday, February 23 at 2 pm.

The star-studded cast showcases Academy favorite Meryl Streep, as well as Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp, and Emily Blunt, to name a few.

Disney produced this one, and some say white-washed the Sondheim creepy tale, but not too much! (Obviously Oscar loved it!) Other critics note a PG-13 rating might be more appropriate. While “Into the Woods” features Jack and the Beanstalk, a Cow, and Cinderella, Streep and Depp as the Witch and Wolf may scare some of the younger set.

You’ll obviously need extra popcorn to leave a trail.

MARCH

March opens with ACT I’s “Dates With a Nut,” a short run of “The Imitation Game,” “The Spongebob Movie,” “McFarland, USA,” and “Cinderella.” (There she is again!) Tickets available next week! See you at the movies.
