Entertainment : Attention young thespians: ACT I Announces Auditions for: Dear Edwina JR.

Dear Edwina JR. is a delightful children’s theatre musical for a general audience. ACT I is pleased to present four performances on December 5, 6, and 7 at the Palace Theatre in Vinton, as our Christmas card to the community. Dear Edwina is about a spunky young girl, Edwina Spoonapple, who aspires to be an advice columnist. In her weekly Dear Edwina Show, which she produces with a cast of her friends, she always has advice for every problem sent her way. Director of the production will be Steve Arnold. Casting Call: 30 students; fifteen boys and fifteen girls, primarily from 5th through 8th grade. Because of the age of the characters in the show we will not be auditioning below 3rd grade. A small number of roles could be cast with high school students. Performance Requirements: All roles in the show require singing and performing of simple choreography. Audition Information: Auditions will be held Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, from 2:00 – 4:00 each day at the ACT I Centre, 906 E. Avenue, Vinton, in the second floor rehearsal hall. Students auditioning may come at any time during those scheduled times; you will not need to plan on the entire two hours. Call-Backs: If necessary, call-backs will be held Monday, October 27 at 6:30pm. A call-back list will be posted on ACT I’s Facebook page by Sunday evening, October 26.
