Spirits are high at the Palace this week. Just in time for Halloween, the haunting thriller “Insidious: Chapter 2” takes over the screen. This film is rated a strong PG-13 and runs 106 minutes. Running Friday, October25 through Thursday, October 31, showtimes are 7pm each night, with a 2 pm matinee on Monday.
The makers of “Saw” and “Paranormal Activity” team up to bring you what’s sure to be a Halloween classic. This terrifying film picks up right where the original left off. The Lambert family continues to be haunted by spirits and unspeakable secrets from the past.
Here’s the bottom line: “Insidious: Chapter 2” will scare the concessions right out of you! Director James Wan is a master of terror and suspense. And in watching interviews with him, he seems like such a normal young man. You’d never imagine what a twisted imagination he really has. But that makes for a very entertaining, if not horrifying movie-going experience. There are two things I can guarantee with this film… 1. You’ll never hear “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” in the same way again, and 2. The cleanup crew will be working late this week at the Palace, because your popcorn is going to jump right out of your hands! How fitting that the final night of “Insidious: Chapter 2” is on Halloween night.
Last week I mentioned that you’d want to mark your calendars in November. Here’s the lineup the Palace has in store: “Captain Phillips” with Tom Hanks as the real life hero of the Somalian pirate crisis, “Gravity” with George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, “Last Vegas,” a star studded comedy, followed by the animated Thanksgiving tale, “Freebirds,” and “Thor: The Dark World” wraps up a November worth being thankful for!
Here’s hoping you have a safe Halloween, and we’ll see you at the Palace!
