Adult Palace patrons have had great fun at “The Heat” this week (boy, have they!), but now the kiddos are demanding their due. Fortunately for our mature patrons, “Despicable Me 2” promises a good time for all!
This sequel to the 10th-biggest animated motion picture in US history, “Despicable Me,” brings back Gru, Margo, Edith, Agnes, and THE MINIONS!
Running Friday. August 9 through Thursday, August 15 at 7 pm, with added matinees on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 4 pm, and Monday at 2 pm, “DM2” is rated PG and runs 1 hour and 38 minutes.
Here’s a tip: during “Monsters University,” the only show that didn’t sell out or come darn close was the Friday 4 pm matinee. Plan to attend that showing, or purchase your tickets and choose your seats in advance via the website, www.vintonpalace.org, or at the box office.
There’s nothing better than an uproarious belly laugh among friends. If you haven’t seen “The Heat,” take advantage of the last night tonight. While you’re there, book your “DM2” tix!
DISNEY NATURE FILMS SCIENCE CAMP AT THE PALACE was a rousing success! Check out the attached photos from our final session, “OCEANS.” Special thanks to Kris Howes-VonStein and Jennifer Bliss, two amazing science teachers who gave generously of their summer free time to teach the sessions!
The very affordable summer camp was made possible by a grant from the Vinton Community Foundation, and sponsorships from Pizza Ranch, Farmers Savings Bank & Trust, Frazier Nursery, Tharp Design, and Monkeytown.
