On Monday, January 14th, the activity of the day was a Pepper Card Party. There were three tables of players. Darlene Werning won 1st place with 340 points. Merle Roths won 2nd place with 284 points. Irene Geiger won 3rd place with 279 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
On Tuesday, January 15th, the activity of the day was 10-Cent Bingo. Delane Kalina was the volunteer caller. The games were handpicked by Ruth Wieditz. Game one was a Picnic Table with JoAnn Roster winning. Game two was Around the Free Space and Four Corners with Evelyn Greenwood and June Salerno winning. Game three was a 12-Pack with Greta Geiken winning. Game four was Wild Number Three Bingos with Ruth Wieditz winning. Orville Ellingson won game five with Blackout.
On Wednesday, January 16th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Glenda Kerkman was the volunteer caller. Elsie Knaack handpicked the games. Game one was Stair Steps with Paul Fix winning. Game two was a a 9-Pack with Faye Goodell winning. Game three was the Letter “Z” with Elsie Knaack winning. Game four was Frame the Card with Lorraine Fix winning. On Thursday, January 17th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. The games were handpicked by Norma Ellis. Game one was the Letter “J” with Faye Goodell winning. Game two was a Table with Ruth Wieditz winning. Game three was a 6-Pack with Greta Geiken winning. Game four was Stair Steps with Orville Ellingson winning. Greta Geiken won game five with Blackout.
On Friday, January 18th, there were 4 tables of 500 played. Leroy Weiser won 1st place with 3,820 points. Edna Schutt won 2nd place with 3,420 points. Bernadine Barr won 3rdplace with 2,960 points. After the games, Marge Foster brought treats to share for her birthday. Other refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Tuesday, January 22nd, Bob Hauser and Harold O’Deen provided the afternoon musical entertainment.

Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet.
Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3c or more.
Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.
