Especially at this time, the task of keeping a small business open is a challenge most are unaware of. This week we are able to celebrate the accomplishment of a business that has survived for decades in Vinton.

Mary Barkdoll celebrated the 35th Anniversary of her business, Clipper Corner in downtown Vinton. After decades of cutting, dyeing and styling hair, Barkdoll celebrated with her two employees and customers with an open house. The word caring was used to describe Barkdoll multiple times. Her clientele is aware that she indeed does care about not only their hair but their lives and families.

Tucked in a corner on 4th Street, the small shop is home to not just her customers, but people that have become her friends and family.

Congratulations Mary and Clipper Corner here's wishing you many more years of success!
