The Pop A Top crew finished their fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald house at the Middle School by collecting over 40,000 pop tabs.

Each first-hour class held a competition to see who could bring in the most. At the end of the competition, the first and second place teams were rewarded with doughnuts and monster cookies! (bought or made by the girls and their families.)

The overall goal is for this year is 60,000 tabs.

There will be a box in the middle school office until the end of the school year if you would still like to donate.

The tabs will be taken to the Ronald McDonald house in Cedar Rapids at the conclusion of the school year.

The 5 girls above thought of this idea in 4th grade ELP, then actually put the plan to action during their 6th-grade year of ELP and next year plan on mentoring a new group (at the Middle School) to carry on the tradition of a yearly Pop A Top fundraiser to help raise money for children and families staying at the Ronald McDonald house.
