Ward sweeps IMCA Modified anniversary weekend at Benton County Speedway
Tim Ward had a great Sunday. His Monday was even better. After scoring a convincing victory in the Prelude to the 44th Anniversary Race for IMCA Modifieds Sunday night, the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified driver made a repeat visit to victory lane and earned a $4,400 payday winning Monday’s anniversary special at Benton County Speedway. Many thanks to the 96 club members who registered at the Lil Racer Car Clubhouse at Benton County Speedway Bullring over the weekend! We drew for free giveaways each night and had two Lil Racers of the Week, one for Sunday and one for Monday night. Sunday night, Lil Racer of the Week was Lilliana Arnold of Vinton, and Monday night was Madison Wheeler, also of Vinton. Ward wins IMCA Anniversary Prelude at Benton County Speedway
It took him a few laps to get to the lead, but once he did it was smooth sailing for Friesen Performance IMCA Modified driver Tim Ward. Ward worked past Justin O’Brien mid-way through the Beaty Excavating 25-lapper, then took the checkers by six seconds ahead of the field in Sunday’s Prelude to Monday’s IMCA Modified Anniversary Event. O’Brien led early while Drew Janssen pressured the leader running the low side of the fast quarter-mile oval.

IMCA Modified Anniversary Event highlights two nights of racing at the Speedway
Memorial Day weekend is about to become a little more memorable for a pair of IMCA racers. Two nights of racing will culminate with the 44th anniversary race for the IMCA Modified this weekend at Benton County Speedway. It all starts Sunday, May 28, with the Prelude to the IMCA Modified Anniversary Event and features increased prize money for a pair of divisions at The Bullring.
Logue delivers opening night sweep at Benton County Speedway
Johnathon Logue has won many races in his career, but none had come at Benton County Speedway. That all changed Sunday night when he made his first visit to victory lane at The Bullring. And then his second.
