Vinton Lions Club Foundation is excited to provide a memorable and enjoyable day for the middle school students and the community. Providing access to pickleball paddles and creating an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie aligns perfectly with the mission of the Vinton Lions Club Foundation. This event not only promotes physical activity but also fosters community spirit and support for local VS High School Scholarships.

• Event: 1st Annual Pickleball Fun Day for Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School Students (6 to 8th grade) & Lions Park Dedication & Exhibition Event. Lions Trailer on-site with Tenderloins and Funnel Cakes.
• Date: Saturday, May 4th
• Time: Noon to 5PM
• Location: Pickleball courts on 13th Street/8th Avenue
• Activities:
• Free pickleball racquet and ball for each VS middle school student (6th to 8th grade)
• Music and other activities
• Opportunity to play with others in attendance
• Volunteers available for support and direction
• Registration: Students can register using the QR code on the attached flyer or can arrive on the day of the event to participate.
• Special Events:
• Short dedication event for Lions Park at 4 PM
• Exhibition event "Beat the Slinger" with local celebrities on the pickleball courts
• Food Options: Vinton Lions Trailer will be on-site offering tenderloins and funnel cakes.
• Support: Vinton Lions Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, supports VS High School Student Scholarships.
