News : Difference Maker Recognition: Karen Ackman

Karen Ackman, our food service director, has been nominated as the Difference Maker for the month of April. Karen's dedication and hard work have truly made a significant impact on our school community. One of her major achievements is working to secure the Community Eligibility Provision for our school district. This means that starting next school year, all students will receive free breakfast and lunch, ensuring that no child goes hungry while striving for their academic success.

But Karen's efforts don't stop there. She has been instrumental in organizing free summer meals for anyone 18 years old and younger, ensuring that nutritious meals are available even when school is out. Her commitment to the well-being of our students extends beyond the academic year, providing vital support to families in need.
