Entertainment : DO YOU WANNA ROCK?? ACT I TO HOLD AUDITIONS FOR ROCK OF AGES!

ACT I of Benton County is pleased to announce that we will be holding auditions for our upcoming musical production of Rock of Ages.

Auditions will be held on Sunday April 14th at 2PM and 3PM, and Monday April 15th at 6PM and 7PM. Callbacks will be held on Tuesday April 16th at 6PM. All auditions will be held at the Palace Theatre at 210 W 4th St in Vinton. Those auditioning only need to attend one session, and all individuals auditioning must be 18 or older.

Rock of Ages is a Tony Award nominated musical that is a hilarious high energy tribute to the rock music of the 1980s. The show features classic rock hits from icons such as Journey, Bon Jovi, Poison, Styx, Twisted Sister, Foreigner, and many more!

Roles to be cast include the following:

● Drew: a bar back with dreams of becoming a rock star

● Sherrie: a small-town girl who moves to Hollywood to pursue her dreams

● Stacee Jaxx: a famous and charismatic rock star

● Dennis: the owner of the Bourbon Room, a famous rock club

● Lonny: the funny and enthusiastic narrator of the show

● Regina: the hippie protestor who wants to protect the Bourbon Room

● Franz Klineman: son of Hertz Klineman

● Hertz Klineman: father of Franz and owner of the real estate company that wants to demolish the sunset strip and the Bourbon Room

In addition, there are many other small roles to be cast and the show features an ensemble.

Performance dates for Rock of Ages are scheduled for August 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 7PM and August 4th at 2PM at the Palace Theatre in Vinton.
