Goals galore helps Vikettes defeat Trojans 10-0

TAMA - Therde were goals galore on April 29 as the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette varsity soccer team defeated the South Tama Trojans by a 10-goal mercy rule, 10-0 at South Tama High School. Bree Swenson picked up a hat trick, with Abby Davis also picking up a goal.

The Vikettes are now 7-2 (4-1 WaMaC West), dropping the Trojans to 2-9 (0-5 WaMaC West). The Vikettes will now travel to Dyersville to take on the Beckman Catholic Blazers (3-5, 3-1 WaMaC East) at Beckman Catholic High School, the Martin Complex in Alburnett for a girl-boy doubleheader with the Cedar Valley Christian Huskies. They will then return home on Saturday, May 7 for the Viking/Vikette tournament vs. Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck and Anamosa, they will then travel to Fross Park in Center and Spartan Stadium in Solon for the final two games of the season.
