Viking soccer defeats Clippers 8-0 for 20th consecutive regular-season win

TIFFIN - 20! The Vinton-Shellsburg Viking varsity earned their 20th consecutive regular-season victory with an 8-0 win on April 14 against the Clear Creek Amana Clippers at Clear Creek Amana High School in Tiffin.

The vikings are now 6-0 (3-0 WaMaC West) and will take on the Mount Vernon Mustangs at the Cornell College Soccer Field in Mount Vernon and then come home to take on the fifth-ranked (Class 2A) Marion Wolves at Karr Athletic Complex. The will travel to Bob Murphy Stadium in Williamsburg on April 26 to take on the Williamsburg Raiders
They will then return home on Monday, May 2 to take on the Beckman Catholic Blazers, will travel to Martin Athletic Complex in Alburnett to take on the Cedar Valley Christian Huskies, as part of a split doubleheader on Thursday, May 5, will return home for the Vinton-Shellsburg Girls and Boys Soccer Tournament on Saturday, May 7, the Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers #8-2A, on Monday, May 9 and then will wrap up the regular season on Friday, May 13 against the Solon Spartans.
